Description: Kiddopotamus' Tiny Diner Portable Placemat is an easy-to clean placemat made of FDA approved materials with no PVC, latex or phthalates. Suction cups on the bottom ensure it stays securely on the table and the textured, ridged surface keeps messes contained. The mat features a scoop that hangs off the edge of the table to catch dropped food. It measures 12” x 18” and can roll into a tube for easy transporting.
Personal Review: We love this product. Our family eats out at least once a week and we’ve tried different approaches with our 14-month-old. We used to have a booster seat/high chair, but it was bulky and sometimes a hassle. When we used the restaurant-provided high chairs, there was always the problem of what to serve his food on. The tables are too dirty and plates (and their contents) always ended up on the floor.
This mat solved our problem!
It’s easy to take with us, as it rolls into a tube and fits into the pocket of my diaper bag. It suction cups to the table and stays firmly in place, never slipping or moving, even when our guy pulls on it. The scoop catches a surprising amount of food and still allows our son to sit against the table. It’s super easy to clean- we just wash it with the dishes when we get home. The only hassle is packing it up when it’s dirty- we just bring a plastic bag and stuff it in there. Our guy likes it too- the textured design makes it easy for him to grab the pieces of food, and he enjoys looking at the animal characters. This is a great product for people who eat at restaurants with older babies or toddlers!
