Description: Kiddopotamus’ SwaddleMe Adjustable Infant Wrap is a swaddling blanket with a unique shape and Velcro closures to make swaddling your baby quick and easy. The “wings” on the sides of the wrap are adjustable to accommodate your growing baby, and the bottom of the wrap opens for access to diaper changes. It also features a harness slit so that baby can stay swaddled in the car seat or stroller. They are available in size small, medium or large and come in cotton or fleece.
Personal Review: The Kiddopotomus SwaddleMe Wrap was an essential for us until our guy was 4 months old. (Read our entire list of newborn baby essentials). He needed to be swaddled in order to sleep, but we couldn’t get the hang of a proper tight swaddle using regular blankets. He would always bust his arms out of all our attempts. The SwaddleMe Wrap was very easy to use and ensured a tight, secure swaddle using the Velcro closures. We did notice that the cotton version tended to stretch a bit, eventually becoming too loose, but the fleece kept its shape. A bonus was that the wrap doubled as a way to keep him warm. He was born in winter and needed extra covering at night. Due to our fear of SIDS, blankets were out of the question, so we would tuck him into a fleece SwaddleMe Wrap at night. He stayed warm and cozy and we had piece of mind. We didn’t use the bottom accessibility or the harness slit, but I could see how they would be very helpful to those who need it. The only thing I would change about the wrap, would be to add more adjustability to the “wings.” It would be great if they could wrap around the baby even further to ensure a tighter swaddle. Because the fabric stretches a little after repeated use, my guy could eventually pop his arms out… this could be fixed by allowing the Velcro to attach further around the back. Also, my guy could kick out of the bottom part of the swaddle pretty easily- the Velcro doesn’t stay fastened down there. Not a big deal, but something you might want to think about. Great swaddle wrap for the price!
