Personal Review
We bought this stroller specifically for a vacation and are still very happy with it 9 months later. Unimpressed with other, cheaper, umbrella strollers, we decided to go with the Jeep Wrangler as it seemed more comfortable, maneuverable and sturdy. Its first test was on our vacation, which included an airplane, a cruise ship and lots of walking. It was easy to maneuver in crowds and tight areas and folds up very small for easy toting and simple storage (even in our tiny stateroom on the ship). It also seemed comfortable for our 18-month-old. We found the roll-up padding to be helpful, as it exposed the breathable mesh and kept him cool in the hot weather. The adjustable sun shade is also a nice feature, as I was able to shade him from the sun at any time of day. It would have worked better, though, if he would have cooperated… being a curious toddler, he often pulled on it and “adjusted” it himself.
A downside to this stroller is the lack of storage space, which I suppose is a trade-off for its small size. It does come with a little, removable storage bag that attaches with Velcro, but we opted not to use it, as we didn’t trust it would stay strapped to the stroller and it was too small to really hold much anyway. We ended up carrying everything in a backpack. Also there are no “extras” like cup holders or a reclining seat, but then again, this is a relatively inexpensive stroller.
Overall this is an excellent umbrella stroller for the price. Sure, you can spend more money for a stroller with more bells and whistles, but if you’re looking for a simple, good-quality umbrella stroller at an affordable price, the Kolcraft Jeep Wrangler All-Weather Umbrella stroller is worth a look.
