Description: The LeapFrog Baby Counting Pal is a plush toy that teaches numbers, counting, colors and plays over 15 songs and melodies. This LeapFrog product is in a shape of a caterpillar and has straps to easily attach to any car seat, changing table, or crib. Each color of the caterpillar plays a different number or color song depending on what you push. Hanging from the caterpillar are squeaky and rattle toys for baby to play with.
Personal Review: I just want to say, buy it right away when your child is born! My son loved this caterpillar from day one. We received it as gift when he was a newborn and I am so glad I had it. I would attach it to the side of his changing table and while changing him I would push buttons for him to hear the music play. When it was gone from the table, he would look for it. I would also bring it with us when going out of town and he would love it like it was a piece of home. My son starting saying color words very early and I think it was from hearing these songs so much at a young age.
This is a great product and I suggest it for any mom to help soothe her newborn. I only put it on his crib once, but if he was fussier baby I would have used it more for that.
Pros:
- Helps baby learn songs, numbers and colors at a young age
- Colorful for newborns to watch
- Velcros to attach to furniture
- Soothes fussy newborns and older babies by music
Cons:
- Parents will start to sing the caterpillar songs in their heads
- Have to replace batteries every month or so, if used a lot
- Hard to wash
